History

The Math Success Program was founded by CPO in 2016 as part of a grant that was intended to support the retention of students at UCLA. It continued as a collaborative partnership with the Campus Retention Committee for several years. The program has led to partnerships over the years with the Math department and the Dean of Life Sciences.

Mission

The mission of the Math Success Program (MSP) is to help students develop the confidence and skills to apply math inside and outside the classroom. In helping students succeed at math, MSP hopes to retain more students in the STEM fields.

The Math Success Program (MSP) offers free 1-on-1 sessions, drop-ins, and workshops to help UCLA undergraduates gain confidence and skills in math. For more information, please contact Sahara Norman at snorman@cpo.ucla.edu.
