The CPO Gender Collectives are an opportunity to delve digger into issues pertinent to women and men respectively. They offer a more intimate setting to build camaraderie and a support system within each group.

Women’s Collective

The CPO Women’s Collective is a cross-cultural space for women from all backgrounds to come together and build community with a focus on women of color. Through weekly meetings, workshops, socials, and retreats, women address taboo topics, voice and shape their opinions on today’s pressing issues, and help each other build stronger interpersonal skills.

The Women’s Collective provides a safe environment for women to learn, question,
and build the skills to navigate the world with confidence. The goal of the Women’s Collective is to create meaningful connections across diverse communities.

Men’s Collective

The CPO Men’s Collective is a space that promotes the retention of UCLA males from all backgrounds with a particular focus men of color. It was created to serve as a positive support system and to promote male camaraderie among new, current, and continuing students involved in the Community Programs Office.

Weekly meetings are held to discuss issues that impact the academic, social, and overall well-being of students. A goal of the Men’s Collective is to create a home away from home for male students who do not come from communities with a college-going culture.

The Men’s Collective supports students in their post-UCLA careers through discussion and mentorship. Most importantly, the Men’s Collective encourages men to give back to the community and
acknowledge those who have helped us throughout our educational careers.
