MANAGER
Roberto currently serves as the creativity and technology manager where he manages the day-to-day operations of the technology team including the supervision of graphic designers, photographers, videographer and assistant technology manager. He also oversees all departmental marketing and promotional materials from the production to print phase. He works with the campus informational technology staff to troubleshoot and provide technology support to the department’s professional and student staff. He also oversees the purchasing of technology equipment and long-term planning of the department’s technology needs.
Roberto, originally from Pasadena, Calif., graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology. He was highly involved at UCLA as an undergraduate student in activities including: CPO intern; CPO management fellow; founding student director of the Math Success program; director of the Latino Student Health Project (LSHP), co-chairperson of Chicanos for Community Medicine (CCM), member of the Campus Retention Committee, member of the USAC Community Service Mini-Fund, and Student Risk Education Committee (SREC). He was also a founding member of the Beyond the Score organization, which was created to end the use of standardized testing in UC college admissions and expanded to advocate for the repeal of Proposition 209.
Roberto’s ultimate goal is to be a practicing physician and to assist low-income communities with access to quality health care.
