Their mission is to empower you with the skills to navigate your financial journey through accessible learning resources, personal care support, and targeted referrals. We offer guidance on managing your finances, including paying bills, borrowing and saving responsibly, investing, and planning for retirement. Additionally, they provide assistance during economic crises, emergency aid, and access to broader basic needs support.

UCLA Basic Needs at Strathmore complements the work of the Community Programs Office (CPO) by expanding your understanding of financial wellness and providing resources that align with CPO’s commitment to supporting students’ overall success. Together, these efforts aim to enrich the UCLA student experience by equipping students with the tools they need to thrive both personally and academically.
